"Hamilton at the White House" Workshop

This photograph, taken by Matthew D'Agostino for the White House Historical Association on March 14, 2016, shows First Lady Michelle Obama arriving with cast members from the musical "Hamilton" for a workshop in the State Dining Room attended by local high school students. Present at the event were Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the musical and originated the starring role; Daveed Diggs, who performed as the Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the original cast; Christopher Jackson, who originated the role of George Washington; and Phillipa Soo, who originated the role of Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton.
